About the contest
There is a word “varpet” in the Armenian language, translated as “master” in English, and it is used only when expressing the very highest degree of respect. This contest aims to popularise the status of vocational professions and reviving respect for the working man in the mind of the public.
The principal aim of the project is to preserve and promote vocational professions, while at the same time increasing their prestige.
The contest will discover the best masters of Armenia across 12 fields (selected by online voting on the website), who will receive the title of ”Armenian Master”.

During May 2022, an open vote was held on the project website. As a result, 12 areas were identified that received the largest number of votes. Further struggle for the title of “Armenian Master” 2022 will continue among these professions.

Stages of the Contest
Selection of participants
The first stage consists of voting for the 12 most popular fields/professions, nominating masters on the project website (filling out a biographical questionnaire and a video message and also with the help of special traveling working groups throughout the country).
After collecting applications the Selection Committee will select 24 participants for the second stage of the contest․
“Armenian Master” Show
The second stage will be held in cooperation with “Armenia TV”. The show will have a creative script and a program adapted to the television format. As a result of each broadcast, 12 Armenian masters 2022 will be selected by countrywide vote.
The final of the contest will be broadcast live during the 13th TV show, accompanied with the struggle for the audience award.

Arsen Mnatsakanyan is the co-founder and director of the crafting platform Varpet.com, which has united qualified professionals providing various household services in Armenia for more than 2 years. At the same time, since 2019, he has been heading the sales department of Addevice Mobile Product Development Company.
Deputy Chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia
Boris have been working in the Trade Unions of Armenia since 1984. He has been elected as Vice President of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia (NCUA) since 1997.
CEO of Armenia TV
Since 2012 he has been the General Director of "Armenia" TV and lecturer of Directing course at the Armenian-Russian Slavonic University.
Director of "Sedrak Mamulyan" Culinary studio
In 2007, together with his partners, Sedrak founded the “Development and Preservation of Armenian Culinary Traditions” public organization, and he is the president of this organisation up to now.
Deputy Director of the “French-Armenian Professional Education Center Foundation”
Yelena is philologist, teacher. She graduated Yerevan State Linguistic University after V.Brusov.
